Uh-oh! While trying to play Minesweeper on your dad's old computer, you accidentally activated a virus that encrypted everything! Photos and tax reforms (the most important things) will all be lost if you don't win this game of Minesweeper! But this is no regular game. Any exposed 1's on the board will become corrupted over time, causing mayhem to deter you from restoring your memories. Also it doesn't help it's a 40 x 50 board... good luck! remember to trust no 1!

Viruses

Different viruses will cause different effects (see below). Skip this section if you don't want to be spoiled!

 : will cause the board to bounce around like the old DVD logo

: WIll cause virus pops you have to close before they fill up your screen

: Will cause your (in-game) computer to blue screen, but only for three seconds

: Will make your mouse cursor hop around the screen

: Will flip window upside down for three seconds

Overall, this was a very fun game jam! Of course, like always, you never get to do everything you want. But I like the game as it is for now, as a proof of concept. I wasn't able to have anyone playtest it yet, so apologies if it's too hard or too easy. Also, it is intended for people who are familiar with Minesweeper.

WARNING:

Flashing lights! It is possible, based on RNG, to get multiple back-to-back flashing blue screens. It is not guaranteed, but if you are sensitive to such things, please be cautious!

Controls:

left click: reveal a tile

right click: flag a tile

if you right click on the virus icons(Shown above) you can stop any effects they will cause but you have to be fast enough.
